“Like all ex-world-class athletes, I share an obsession to explore the limits of what's possible. I thrive on seeing people and teams change and grow and transform their performance beyond what they ever thought possible.”
Biography
Ruth is a commercially minded leadership and organisational development practitioner with experience spanning consulting, in-house transformation and high-performance sport.
She works with senior leaders and teams to strengthen performance and build the capacity needed to lead well in complex, fast-changing environments, particularly as technology and AI reshape the nature of work.
Her earlier career as an international rower for Great Britain, winning World Championship medals, gives her a grounded understanding of performance, resilience and judgement under pressure. Ruth brings a distinctive combination of organisational development expertise, practical business experience and insight into what sustained high performance requires. She is also an appointed Independent Member of UK Sport’s Eligibility Panel.

"There are moments throughout our lives where we catch a glimpse of what we are capable of, a flicker of what we are destined to be, or a hint of what we desire to become. Our highest potential calls to us all the time, but right before we answer, the urgency of life tends to get in the way. For leaders, this important work will never seem the most urgent, but ultimately our own development will be our most valuable competitive advantage.”

"Alan is a world-class coach and I've worked with him for over 3 years. As well as being a wonderful listener with exceptional recall and having a very supportive style, he is also not afraid to challenge. When he does challenge, he does so really thoughtfully and constructively.
With his considerable expertise in human behaviour, mindfulness and psychology, he has helped me not only become more effective in a work context but he has also improved the quality of my life."

Tesco“Alan [Littlefield] is very experienced... I don’t think I have ever felt so comfortable sharing personal stuff with someone for as long as I can remember.
I felt that I could talk to him about anything and that everything would be safe – very high degree of trust on my side which is not something I do very easily, hardly ever."
Dirk Geeraerts
VP Sales EMEA, Thales Belgium"Alan's passion for coaching and commitment to quality have been obvious to me since the first time I met him. We worked together at the Centre for High Performance Development for 3 years, and during that time, I had the opportunity to see him coach, to attend advanced coach training that he developed and delivered, and to use the coaching engagement process he created for CHPD's use with clients."

Healthcare"I worked with Alan at Kenexa and was extremely impressed by his passion and expertise of coaching. With his warm and professional disposition and exceptional interpersonal skills, Alan proved to be a real advocate for coaching across Kenexa and always had an open door policy with anyone that had an interest in the subject.
I attended the Coaching skills course that Alan designed and conducted and found this to be fun, informative and more importantly it helped to develop and enhance my skills as a Coach"

He is wonderful to work with and always helped me to arrive at a solution with humour, sensitivity and intelligent thinking. Sue Dewey
OBE Director"Alan's coaching and coach training are second to none, and I still refer to the process he created on a regular basis. I have worked with other executive coaches since leaving CHPD and have not found anyone whose process is as thoughtful or as thorough as the approach that Alan crafted. For me, it has become the gold standard."
