What we can do for you

Our comprehensive Behavioural Report helps build the behaviours needed to achieve results in challenging, intricate and ever-changing market conditions.

We offer a range of assessments designed to measure the progress of 11 different performance-enhancing behaviours. In different combinations, they provide a deep insight to the core behaviours of a team, leader or organisation.

By raising awareness of their actions and omissions, leaders and teams can assess and develop behaviours to create a positive, productive and healthy workplace culture. In turn, this can lead to higher employee satisfaction, better team dynamics and overall organisational success.

Understanding Behaviours

Behaviours are the final common pathway to better results. And for results to change leadership development programmes need to deliver behavioural change.

Behaviours are the building blocks of leadership skills. Skills when mastered can develop into competencies. Competencies can be organised into the five great capabilities that all leaders need to drive performance:

1. Technical – this is the ability to do the job, and varies significant depending on role and seniority

2. Operational – this is the ability to run your area, of responsibility, well

3. Strategic – this is the ability to build the future and make choices that accelerate growth in your area of responsibility

4. Leadership – these are in the inner (I) and interpersonal (WE) capabilities that when added to IT sophistication drive the commercial outcomes (IT) and differentiate good from great leaders

5. Change – this is the ability to change yourself (I), those around you (WE) or the organisation itself (IT)

All of these areas of development are mapped out in the Complete Behavioural Report

Transforming outcomes through behaviours

The Complete Behavioural Report is a reliable and validated assessment of 11 leadership behaviours.

No single leader will be strong in all 11 behaviours, but this assessment acts as a powerful personal developmental guide.

When conducted across an entire leadership team, this assessment can identify the behaviours that require development to achieve the ‘complete set’ and so success.

How it can impact your business

Here’s how the Complete Behavioural Report will help you.

The Complete Behavioural Report process involves evaluating individual, team and organisational performance to gain valuable insights into their existing capabilities.

By conducting these assessments, organisations can better understand their strengths and areas for improvement, enabling them to make informed decisions about talent development, team dynamics, and overal organisational strategies. It provides a foundation for targeted improvement efforts and helps in fostering a culture of continuous growth and development.

Benchmarking leaders and teams against expected behaviours serves as a powerful tool to facilitate talent identification and promote crucial development discussions within leadership teams. By setting clear standards and comparing performance agaisnt them, organisations can recognise high-potential individuals and teams, as well as areas where improvement is needed.

This assessment process not only helps in identifying leadership strengths but also opens up opportunities for targeted growth initiatives and skill enhancement. As a result, behavioural assessment support both individual development and strengthens the leadership team’s cohesiveness and effectiveness leading to improved overall organisational performance.

During recruitment or promotion processes, it is crucial to assess leadership capabilities to ensure a strong alignment with the organisation’s core values and objectives. By carefully evaluating leadership skills, experience, and potential, organisations can make informed decisions that lead to the selection of individuals who embody the desired leadership traits.

This approach not only reinforces an organisation’s values but also fosters a culture of continuous improvement through feedback, coaching and leadership development. By investing in the growth of their leaders, organisations can enhance their overall effectiveness and adaptability, driving long-term success and positive outcomes.

A behavioural assessment is the essential precursor to leadership development. It provides clear direction for learning interventions and can support effective coaching. Leaders are not born, they are made.

Understanding the behavioural strengths and weaknesses of your leadership population via the Complete Behavioural Report can help you develop and recruit better leaders.

The Complete Behavioural Report 360 process requires individuals to score their own behaviours as well as nominate their manager, at least two peers, at the same level of seniority, and a minimum of two direct reports or individuals less senior.

Regardless of the behaviours assessed the report also provides developmental tips depending on the individuals scores to stretch the individual as well as what to watch out for. All of this enables the individual to agree very precise developmental goals that can step change their own performance.

With more than 20 years experience assessing leadership behaviours has enabled Complete to build a global benchmark that applies across all market sectors. Which specific behaviours are strong varies and there is no ‘ideal’ profile. However, the benchmark data can be used to identify the best candidate to hire that has the right level of behavioural sophistication to succeed in the role.

Methodology

Our approach to creating a transformational culture

Over three decades, extensive academic research has explored leadership behaviours and their associated results. Professor Harold Schroder’s pivital 1970s research identified 11 behaviours significantly influencing bottom-line performance, relevant in competitive, complex, dynamic contexts. In such environments, leaders’ performance-enhancing actions, like adopting a commercial perspective, engaging teams, and inspiring commitment, boost productivity and organisational success.

The Schroder model has been researched in a number of key studies, which underpin the Complete Behavioural Report. Moreover, additional studies have confirmed the model’s applicability across various sectors, leadership levels and geographic regions. Dr. Tony Cockerill and Chris Parry have collaborated closely with Complete for an extended period to develop the new Complete Behavioural Report
